Harry Styles' rumored girlfriend hurt by social media abuse

Harry Styles rumored girlfriend Tess Ward is considering quitting social media due to the abuse she receives from fans online.

Reports romantically linked the food blogger, 27, to the 23-year-old popstar earlier this month (May17) and she was recently pictured taking a ride in an Audi car driven by Harry.

Since the reports of her romance with Harry emerged, the Sign of the Times singer's fans have inundated her social media pages with abusive messages.

She tells British newspaper The Times, "It's been so weird, the hate messages...very bizarre. I'm not the kind of person who's interested in fame and if you're put in an environment which you don't understand and you can't control and you don't want, it's horrible."

Tess says she has already deleted the Snapchat social media app and is seriously considering quitting Instagram despite her huge audience of 134,000 followers.

"At the moment, I'm getting a lot of direct messages there (Instagram), but I respectfully chose not to reply to them, because they're all... interesting," she explains, adding, "I want a break!"

The chef and writer has also noticed a recent increase in bad reviews for her 2015 cookbook The Naked Diet has received from users on Amazon.com and the abuse has been so bad that Tess issued a plea on her Instagram asking those trolling her to stop.

"For everyone following and messaging me, I am thankful but please be kind to me," she wrote. "All I want is to share beautiful food with you all."

The food writer refuses to confirm or deny whether she is actually dating Harry, telling The Times, "I literally don't have anything to say about that."
