Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis engaged
Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis is engaged.
The 27-year-old British actor popped the question to girlfriend Angela Jones last month (Nov16) while on a romantic trip to Paris, France, according to TMZ.com.
The couple met during the annual Celebration of Harry Potter event
at Universal Studios' Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando,
Florida, in January (16), where Angela is an event planner.
This will be Matthew's first marriage, and the second for his
fiancee, whose divorce from her first husband was finalized in July
(16).
A snap of the couple taken after they got engaged was posted to
Angela's Instagram page, but Matthew, who played Neville Longbottom
in J.K. Rowling's hugely successful magical franchise, has yet to
officially announce the news.
He did, however, ask his fans on Twitter in late November (16) for
advice on where to watch English rugby matches while in Orlando,
Florida - hinting he may be spending more time with his fiancee in
the U.S.
"Does anybody know of a decent pub/bar in the Orlando, FL. area
that shows Super League (@leedsrhinos)? #WillingToTravel
#AskingForMe #Thanks," the Me Before You star wrote. "Your
collective knowledge of public houses in the Orlando area is
extraordinary. Many thanks. If you see me there I’ll buy you a
drink xx I’m not in Orlando FYI. Just curious for future reference.
Season doesn’t start until February. Look for me then for that
drink."
Matthew will be in Orlando again for the next Celebration of Harry
Potter event in January next year (17), where he will be appearing
alongside Warwick Davis, who played Professor Flitwick and Griphook
in the movies. It will be Warwick's first time at the hugely
successful fan event.
More stars are expected to be announced over the next few
weeks.
The annual celebration takes place from 27-29 January (17) at the
Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios, Orlando.
