Hailee Steinfeld kept journal on True Grit set
True Grit newcomer Hailee Steinfeld kept a journal on set so she could keep track of the advice she received from her co-stars Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Jeff Bridges.
The 16 year old landed her big break in the critically-acclaimed 2010 Western, in which she appears alongside some of the industry's greatest actors.
And to make sure she made the most of her time working with her
idols, she scrawled things in a notebook so she would always
remember the experience.
She tells Fashion Magazine, "The conversations I had with Matt,
Josh and Jeff on set totally changed my life... They changed the
way I approach acting. It was an incredible education. I kept a
journal on set that carried through the first month. We took over
4,000 pictures - I was looking through them last night and I got
chills."
Steinfeld reveals she also picked up a few tips from Keira
Knightley after starring alongside the beauty in upcoming drama Can
A Song Save Your Life?, which features Mark Ruffallo, Adam Levine
and Cee Lo Green.
She explains, "It was my first time filming on the streets of New
York. It was very overwhelming - the paparazzi were surrounding us
everywhere because the crew caught so much attention. I didn't know
how to handle it so I looked at Keira for help. She was just so
graceful, so calm and collected."
