Gucci Mane planning album with Diplo from behind bars
Incarcerated rapper Gucci Mane is working on a new album behind bars with DJ/producer Diplo.
The Icy hitmaker has been in jail since last August (14), serving six years in prison for two separate cases of firearm possession and aggravated assault.
However, the prison term has not put a damper on Gucci Mane's
hip-hop career as he has announced plans to work with dance star
Diplo on his next project.
A post on Mane's Twitter.com account reads, "New EDM (electronic
dance music) album with @diplo on the way."
Diplo later confirmed the news, but insisted the record will not be
in his usual style, writing, "Hahaha it ain't EDM but we
working!!!".
Gucci Mane, real name Radric Davis, has released a number of EPs
and mixtapes since starting his jail time, including his triple
album Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, Dessert and Trap House 5 mixtape,
which all hit stores earlier this year (15).
