Greene once left wheel-chair bound after childhood accident

A young Ashley Greene was once left wheelchair-bound after breaking her leg in a backyard accident.

The Twilight star and former cheerleader grew up playing with her daredevil older brother Joe but Greene confesses her tomboy tendencies often got her into trouble.

She tells Black Book magazine, "Growing up I was very competitive with my brother... Once on the trampoline, I hit my leg and it just snapped."

The actress was placed in an all-body cast and confined to a wheelchair.

But that didn't exactly keep Greene safe - just weeks after sustaining the first injury she broke the bone again when her roller-skating brother accidentally sent her wheelchair flying into a concrete wall.

She adds, "I broke my arm twice, I broke my femur twice, I split my head open twice."
