Green to legally change name

Actor Seth Green has applied to legally alter his name.

The Road Trip star was born Seth Benjamin Gesshel-Green but he now wants his mother's maiden name, Gesshel, to be removed.

Green filed papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court earlier this month (Aug11) asking a judge to legally shorten his name to Seth Benjamin Green "to reflect my professional stage name."

According to TMZ.com, Green is now required to publicly declare his new title in a local newspaper once a week for four consecutive weeks.

He is due to appear in court on 20 October (11), when his name change will be made official.
