Ailing country legend Glen Campbell's fans have given the Rhinestone Cowboy singer a touching send-off as he retires from music by helping him score his first Billboard Hot Country Songs chart entry in 21 years.
Campbell's swansong tune I'm Not Gonna Miss You debuts in the new countdown at number 50 and becomes his first chart hit since Somebody Like That in 1993.
Campbell's final recording comes from the soundtrack to his new
documentary, Glen Campbell…I'll Be Me, which chronicles the star's
final shows and his battle with Alzheimer's disease.
The music great has entered the final stages of the disease and was
placed in a treatment facility earlier this year (14) after
becoming a danger to himself at home with his family.
