George Clooney to wed in London on Friday before big Italian ceremony - report

George Clooney will reportedly wed his fiancee Amal Alamuddin in a civil ceremony in London on Friday (12Sep14) before jetting off to Italy for a more lavish ceremony later this month (Sep14).

The Gravity star recently revealed that he and his bride-to-be will tie the knot in Venice, instead of on his property in Lake Como, as previously reported, but first, they will legally become man and wife in the British capital, according to Us Weekly magazine.

Sources tell the publication both Clooney's parents and Alamuddin's mother and father will be present for the formal ceremony on Friday, while friends and other family members will gather in Venice on the weekend of 27 September (14) for a more celebratory affair.

The news comes days after lawyer Alamuddin reportedly filed official wedding paperwork in London and visited a high profile wedding dress designer last week (01Sep14).
