George Clooney celebrates bachelor party in Venice

George Clooney bid farewell to his days as a single man on Friday night (26Sep14) as he celebrated his bachelor party in Venice, Italy ahead of his marriage to Amal Alamuddin.

The Oscar winner's famous friends, including fellow actor Matt Damon and best pal Rande Gerber, gathered in the city ahead of the nuptials, and they came together on Friday for an intimate dinner at Da Ivo restaurant, which served as Clooney's bachelor party.

He was pictured surrounded by a large group of male friends on a boat holding drinks as they sailed down one of Venice's canals.

Alamuddin celebrated her bachelorette party separately with a party of her female friends and relatives, including her sister, Tala, and mom, Baria.

A wedding gala dinner is said to be set for Saturday (27Sep14). Reports suggest it will be followed by a star-studded luncheon on Sunday (28Sep14) and a civil ceremony on Monday (29Sep14).
