Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner quits school
Sophie Turner has left school after the Game Of Thrones star struggled to get along with her teachers.
The 17-year-old actress, who plays Sansa Stark in the hit fantasy TV show, was enrolled at private school King's High in Warwick, England, but now studies with a private tutor instead.
She tells Interview magazine, "I found it really difficult when
teachers talked down to me. I thought to myself, 'Shouldn't we be
having an interesting conversation here?'"
However, the Brit, who was encouraged to audition for Game of
Thrones by her drama teacher, has no regrets about her decision to
quit school, adding, "I will be able to look back on my teen years
as spent on a television set just having the biggest bunch of fun.
At the moment, I can still treat acting as my favourite hobby since
I don't have a mortgage to pay."
