Gabrielle Union launches own wine brand

Actress Gabrielle Union is adding celebrity vintner to her resume with the launch of her first wine.

Vanilla Puddin' Chardonnay features "characteristics of pears, light French Oak (and) white chocolate with dollops of vanilla" and was created in collaboration with Jam Cellars and Brand Elite in California's Napa Valley.

Announcing the venture on Instagram.com, Union writes, "So excited about my new wine @vanillapuddinwine... It's a fun Chardonnay with hints of vanilla, super yummy and great for all occasions".

She popped a bottle of her new wine during an appearance on talk show Chelsea Lately last month (Feb14) and revealed she hopes to serve it to guests at her upcoming wedding when she and basketball star Dwyane Wade exchange vows later this year (14).

The 2012 bottles will retail for $16.99 from Monday (17Mar14).

Union joins the likes of Drew Barrymore, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Sting and Fergie, who have all launched their own wine lines.
