Future files to dismiss Ciara's defamation allegations

Rapper Future has filed documents to dismiss his ex Ciara's allegations his "defamatory" comments cost her a lucrative endorsement deal.

The Goodies singer filed a $15 million defamation lawsuit against her former fiance in February (16), accusing him of damaging her reputation by knowingly making false and defamatory statements about her parenting of their son Future Zahir on Twitter.

She later added to her legal action, claiming their dispute cost her a $500,000 endorsement contract with an international cosmetics company because he made her out to be "controlling, dishonest, malicious, unreasonable, evil, (and) conniving".

Future has now moved to dismiss this allegation from the lawsuit, filing his own documents in which he claims her whole contract allegation is untrue and he had nothing to do with it falling through, questioning if there was even a deal in the first place, according to TMZ.com. He claims she has no proof of the contract and noted that she hasn't even revealed the name of the company in the paperwork.

After Ciara filed the original defamation lawsuit, Future, real name Nayvadius Cash, filed his own countersuit, but he had a change of heart and dropped it in June (16) and he explained to Rolling Stone he has no ill will against her.

"Ciara being successful, her being happy, helps me," Future said, before addressing the singer directly, adding, "I'm attached to you. If you're happy, I'm happy. You're connected for life. I don't want you to go through this s**t and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation."

However, the R&B star stepped up her legal action by filing more papers claiming she feared for the life of her now-husband American football star Russell Wilson as Future had threatened him.

Ciara and Future broke off their engagement in August, 2014, three months after the birth of their son. She wed Russell in July (16).
