Fund launched for Michael Jace's kids

Relatives of Michael Jace's late wife have launched a fund to help the couple's children after the actor was charged with her murder.

The Shield star, 51, is accused of shooting his partner April during a domestic dispute at their home in Los Angeles on Monday (19May14) and remains behind bars after bail was set at $2 million .

Jace and his wife were parents to two sons, Caleb, five, and Nehemiah, eight, while April also had an 18-year-old son from a previous relationship, and her relatives have now established a fund to make sure the boys are taken care of.

A page has been set up on GoFundMe.com by her family to raise money for April's funeral and for the ongoing care of her sons.

A message posted on the page reads, "As most of you know, our family is grieving the sudden and tragic loss of our dear April Jace. April was a vibrant, beautiful woman and an incredibly dedicated mother... She leaves behind 3 sons... We have set up this page in order to raise funds for the cost of the funeral services and to help the family to provide care for April's children...

"Every dollar helps and will enable us to honor this incredible woman and care for her children with the excellence she would have wanted."

The page had exceeded its $20,000 target as WENN went to press.
