Fresh-faced Beyonce poses for a rare selfie with Mariah Carey
Beyonce was a surprise guest at Mariah Carey's holiday concert on Sunday night (11Dec16).
While many of her peers share every aspect of their lives on social media, the 35-year-old singer is an infrequent user of sites such as Instagram and Twitter.
However, Beyonce broke her usual protocol by posing up for a selfie
with Hero star Mariah at her Beacon Theater show in New York
City.
Mariah posted the snap on her Instagram page, writing: "'I love you
@beyonce. Thank you sooooo much for coming out tonight! (lips
emoticon)."
In the picture, Mariah is seen flaunting her sensational figure in
a plunging, diamante gown, while Beyonce looks significantly more
casual in a black top, zip up jacket and hat.
The Formation star also appears to have forgone her usual make-up
for the night out, going for a fresh-faced look instead with just a
swipe of mascara and lip gloss.
Despite Beyonce and Mariah being two of the biggest names in the
music industry, they have always denied rumors of any feuding. Talk
of a collaboration between the two powerhouses emerged earlier this
year (16) when they were pictured together at the Heartview Global
Foundation dinner, though Mariah has since shared that any plans
for a duet aren't imminent.
"I would love to work with her anytime, she's amazing," she told
Access Hollywood recently. "It'll happen, when and if it happens,
whenever. And if not, I'll always admire her and look at her as a
friend.
"We have a lot of fun, she's fun. She's a great girl. I love her so
much, I really do."
Mariah is currently hitting headlines through her docu-series
Mariah's World for E! The second episode of the program aired on
Sunday night (11Dec16), with the singer's former fiance James
Packer flying to Glasgow, Scotland, to see his partner on the
opening night of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy European tour.
Labeling the move "very sweet", Mariah told the camera: "My fiance
James... it's very nice for him to pop in on me, it's very sweet.
He's very busy, he travels constantly and he didn't really have to
fly just to come to my show."
