Florence + the Machine cap Glastonbury triumph with number one album
Florence + The Machine have been given another reason to celebrate the weekend after returning to the top of the British album charts two days after triumphing as last-minute headliners at the Glastonbury festival.
Florence Welch and her bandmates replaced injured Dave Grohl and his Foo Fighters as festival bill-toppers on Friday night (26Jun15) and on Sunday (28Jun15), the British band beat out another hit Glastonbury act, Wolf Alice, to the top spot on the U.K. Albums Chart.
How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful debuted at number one in May (15),
but slipped to number two as Muse took control of the charts with
Drones two weeks ago.
Wolf Alice's debut album My Love Is Cool debuts at number two, just
528 copies behind Florence + the Machine.
Muse drop to three, while pals Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran round
out the top five.
Meanwhile, Tinie Tempah has landed his sixth number one single with
Not Letting Go, his collaboration with singer Jess Glynne.
Belgian producer Lost Frequencies storms up the chart with Are You
With Me at two, and while Jason Derulo's former chart-topper Want
To Want Me drops to three.
