Famous friends and family pay tribute to Beyonce on her birthday

Former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, Kelly Rowland, and new mom Serena Williams were among the family and friends who celebrated Beyonce's birthday on Monday (04Sep17) by dressing up as the R&B diva.

They joined her former Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams, mom Tina Knowles Lawson, her mother-in-law, Gloria Carter, and daughter Blue Ivy by dressing up in Queen Bey's fierce braided look, topping it off with an off-the-shoulder black top, extra wide-brimmed black hat, and elaborate jewelry.

Meanwhile, a message on her website urged fans and friends to support Houston relief efforts in the superstar's native Texas following Hurricane Harvey.

Beyonce's hometown was battered by the historic storm last week (ends01Sep17). It claimed the lives of at least 50 people and caused billions of dollars in damages.

The singer and partners at her BeyGOOD charity have teamed up with her pastor Rudy Rasmus' non-profit Bread of Life, Greater Houston Community Foundation and Texas Southern University to help fund the relief efforts.
