Eve still devastated by leak of sex tape
Rapper Eve is still scarred by the leak of her decade-old sex tape featuring her and ex-fiance Stevie J.
A sexually explicit video of the pair was released in the early 2000s, shortly after the couple split, prompting fans to accuse the former Bad Boy Entertainment star of exposing the intimate footage.
Stevie J denied the allegations at the time and has since claimed
the X-rated clip boosted Eve's career - but the Let Me Blow Your
Mind hitmaker disagrees.
She tells MTV's RapFixLive, "It definitely didn't. When that
happened, sex tapes weren't 'hot' like that, and I got the FBI
(Federal Bureau of Investigation) involved. So that's not something
I wanted to happen...
"I respect my mother and my family and that's not something I am OK
with. And it hurt my heart that anyone who was in my circle -
whether it be him (Stevie) or anybody else - it hurt my heart that
that went out there. That wasn't my thing."
It is still unclear who released the footage, however producer
Stevie J, real name Steven Jordan, insists it wasn't him.
In July (12) he told the hip-hop weekly program, "I made a tape and
gave it to her and she took it on the road, on tour with her, and
the rest was history. It wasn't me, I didn't leak that joint
(video). I gave it to her and one of her girlfriends leaked
it."
