Eva Longoria, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde have unveiled their directorial debuts at the annual Glamour Reel Moments event in Los Angeles.

The three actresses stepped behind the camera for the first time as part of the magazine's yearly project, which sees women making short films based on readers' real-life stories.

Longoria created a movie called A Proper Send-Off, which tells the story of a woman who learns she is a carrier for the breast cancer gene, while Saldana directed Bradley Cooper and Malin Akerman in Kaylien, about school bullying.

Wilde's film Free Hugs, starring Justin Long and Aziz Ansari, is about wallowing after break-ups.

All three films were unveiled at a star-studded ceremony in L.A. on Monday night (24Oct11).

The trio follows in the footsteps of past contributors including Jennifer Aniston, Eva Mendes, Jessica Biel, Rachel Weisz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Courteney Cox, Kate Hudson and Kirsten Dunst.
