Eva Longoria is Beckham baby's godmother

Victoria Beckham has asked her best pal Eva Longoria to be her daughter Harper's godmother.

The Desperate Housewives star insists she's "honoured" to take on the special role and will fly to the U.K. later this summer (12) to stand by as the tot is christened in her superstar parents' native Britain.

Longoria tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "Victoria asked me to be Harper's godmother and of course I said yes. I'm absolutely thrilled. Harper is simply adorable."

Harper Seven, the Beckhams' fourth child and first daughter, was born in Los Angeles last July (11).
