Estelle sings through blackout

British pop star Estelle sang through a blackout after a power cut hit the venue during a performance in New York City.

The American Boy hitmaker took to the stage at the AMC Magic Johnson theatre in Harlem on Thursday (09Oct14) following a screening of new movie Addicted to perform her song Conquerer from the soundtrack.

Her performance was disrupted by a power outage, which affected the venue's lights and sound system, but Estelle decided to continue a cappella.

A source tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The power blew out... (It affected) her entire sound system... She just kept going a cappella, clapping her hands and getting the entire audience to clap with her... It was pretty cool, I have to say. I was impressed, she sounded great."
