Actress Emma Stone is in talks to make her Broadway debut in an upcoming production of Cabaret.
Roundabout Theater bosses are mounting a revival of Joe Masteroff's hit musical at Studio 54 next year (14) and the Easy A beauty is currently negotiating a deal to hit the stage as singer Sally Bowles, according to the New York Times.
Anne Hathaway was originally rumored to take the role opposite Alan
Cumming, who won a Tony Award in 1998 for his portrayal of the
Emcee, but her representative shot down the reports earlier this
year (begs22Apr13).
The part has previously been played by Dame Judi Dench, Liza
Minnelli and Natasha Richardson.
