Emma Roberts joining American Horror Story
Emma Roberts has landed a role in boyfriend Evan Peters' creepy drama series just weeks after learning her new TV pilot, based on sci-fi novel Delirium, was rejected by network executives.
The Scream 4 star has signed up to join the cast of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story: Coven, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She'll play a party girl in the third season of the acclaimed show.
Evan Peters has already been confirmed as a returning cast member
and his previously announced co-stars for the new season include
Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates, while Jessica
Lange, Sarah Paulson and Frances Conroy will also return.
It is still not clear what will become of Emma Roberts' small
screen adaptation of Delirium, Lauren Oliver's novel about a teen
in a dystopian future where love is outlawed. The show was
initially approved by executives at the Fox network, but they
decided to pass on the project after viewing the pilot episode.
Taking to her Twitter.com blog on 9 May (13), Emma Roberts shared
her dismay with fans, writing, "Sad about Delirium. Thank you guys
so much for your support!!!"
