Eminem and Rihanna have scared off the competition to score a second week atop the singles chart with their hit song The Monster.

The track holds off Pitbull and Ke$ha's Timber and Counting Stars by OneRepublic, which remain unchanged on the Billboard Hot 100 at two and three, respectively.

Meanwhile, Beyonce rules the Billboard 200 with her self-titled album after shifting 617,000 copies in the U.S. alone since its release exclusively on iTunes.com last Friday (13Dec13).

As previously reported, the chart success made Billboard history with Beyonce becoming the first female artist to hit number one with her first five studio albums.

Country star Garth Brooks is a distant second on the countdown - Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades of Influences sold 172,000 units in its second week of release, while Kelly Clarkson is all Wrapped In Red at three.

R. Kelly is a new entry at four with Black Panties and One Direction's Midnight Memories rounds out the new top five at five.
