Emily VanCamp engaged to Revenge co-star Josh Bowman

Emily Vancamp and Josh Bowman are engaged.

Emily, who first started dating her Revenge co-star Josh in 2012 shortly after she split from The Vampire Diaries star Joseph Morgan, announced the happy news on Instagram on Thursday (11May17).

The 30-year-old actress posted a shot of herself standing in a woods with her hands covering her face. On her ring finger was a giant sparkling diamond, and the bride-to-be captioned the snap with a simple red love heart emoji.

Josh, 29, has yet to comment on the engagement on his social media.

The couple are certainly no strangers to the concept of getting married, with their Revenge characters Emily Thorne and Daniel Grayson tying the knot in season three of the TV series. However, they are sure to be hoping their marriage is more successful than their alter egos, who divorced after Emily's ulterior motive in getting revenge for her father's death was revealed.

Emily and Josh have done their best to keep their romance out of the spotlight, but the actress opened up about the relationship in a rare interview with InStyle Australia magazine in 2014.

"I have a wonderful love in my life," she said, adding: "Trust is the most important thing in any relationship, because everything falls into place after that."
