Ellie Kemper to be a first-time mom

Actress Ellie Kemper is expecting her first child.

The Bridesmaids star and her comedy writer husband Michael Koman are preparing to become parents, according to People magazine.

Ellie and Michael wed in 2012, and just before she walked down the aisle, she had a memorable mini-bachelorette party on comedienne Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, when the host surprised the actress by inviting a stripper to give her a lap dance in front of the audience.

The baby news comes at a busy time for Ellie, who is in the middle of promoting the new season of her Emmy-nominated comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which returns to Internet streaming service Netflix on Friday (15Apr16).
