Eddie Redmayne's wife was late to the couple's wedding

British actor Eddie Redmayne was the only relaxed person at his wedding ceremony last month (Dec14), because he knew his wife-to-be would be late to the nuptials.

The Theory of Everything star exchanged vows with Hannah Bagshawe on 15 December (14), and now admits his then-fiancee had all the guests sweating when she arrived 30 minutes late.

Redmayne, 33, tells chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, "She has never been on time for anything in her life. Everyone else was really stressed, but I was kind of relaxed knowing that she'd never been on time for pretty much anything in her life."

The actor told DeGeneres the newlyweds honeymooned in the Alps over the holidays and had a lovely start to married life, even though their skiing plans were ruined by the lack of snow.

He adds, "We went to the Alps, which was such a beautiful idea, but unfortunately there was no snow. That was just an excuse to take long lunches, drink a lot of red wine and have a lot of fondue."
