Ed Sheeran helps Kodaline bassist propose onstage
Ed Sheeran is building himself a reputation for playing Cupid after helping another of his friends, Kodaline bassist Jason Boland, to propose onstage.
During his gig at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday (25Jul15), Sheeran invited The Frames frontman Glen Hansard and rockers Kodaline onstage to perform with him.
They joined him on Irish classics In Dublin's Fair City and The
Auld Triangle, before bassist Boland got down on one knee to
propose to his girlfriend Eatoin Corr, and she said yes.
Earlier in the day, the Sing hitmaker had tweeted he had "something
planned for tonight you won't expect". He congratulated the couple
on Twitter.com after his gig, posting, "Thank you to Kodaline and
Glen Hansard for joining me on stage today to sing some tunes. And
congratulations to Jay, what a way to propose!"
Earlier this month (Jul15), Sheeran serenaded Rixton's Jake Roche
and Little Mix's Jesy Nelson with an acoustic version of Tenerife
Sea as they got engaged onstage at Manchester Arena (19Jul15).
