Ed Sheeran approves of Taylor Swift's new man

British pop star Ed Sheeran has given the "seal of approval" to his friend Taylor Swift's rumored new boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris.

The Blank Space singer made headlines last month (Mar15) when she was pictured getting cosy with the Scottish hitmaker at a Kenny Chesney concert in Nashville, Tennessee.

While neither Swift nor Harris have confirmed the reported romance, Sheeran hinted the rumors are true during an interview with a New Zealand radio DJ last week (ends12Apr15).

One of the co-hosts commended Sheeran on his "calming demeanour", and inquired whether that quality went away if one of his friends dates someone he doesn't like, slyly referring to Harris.

Sheeran replied, "No, he's cool. He's a really nice guy. Really, really nice guy... Yeah, I'd give the seal of approval... There are just certain people who are just nice people in the industry. I met Harris like a year ago... Really good guy."
