Dwayne Johnson's girlfriend gives birth to baby girl

Christmas has come early for action man Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson after his girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday (16Dec15).

The newborn is the Furious 7 star's first child with his longtime partner, Lauren Hashian, and is a half-sister for the actor's 14-year-old daughter Simone, with his ex-wife Dany Garcia.

Sources tell E! News the 43-year-old dad was emotional as he witnessed the birth, while both mother and baby are said to be doing well.

The news comes just days after singer/songwriter Lauren opened up about her impending motherhood in a sweet post on Instagram.

"So grateful and in awe of this time," she wrote over the weekend (12-13Dec15). "To experience creating a little life is just incredible. This beautiful cycle of life and womanhood beginning again. And like Big Daddy says - Couldn't be prouder of all the kicka** women she's going to have around her! And Men of course..."

"Let's just hope big daddy doesn't equal 20 pound baby!" she playfully added.

The reports of Lauren's pregnancy first emerged in September (15), but Dwayne only confirmed the happy news in November (15).

"I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more...," he wrote on Instagram beside a photo of himself and Lauren, with her baby bump on display. "IT'S A BABY GIRL!! We're so grateful for this blessing and thrilled to share the news with y'all."
