Drake has taken to sleeping in the studio in an effort to complete his new album by his label deadline of 9 September (13).
The Best I Ever Had hitmaker has holed himself up at the Metalworks Studios in his native Toronto, Canada with his producer Noah '40' Shebib as they work around the clock to finish Nothing Was The Same, as record bosses need him to turn in the masters within days in order to stick to the project's planned release later this month (Sep13).
Speaking to RollingStone.com on Friday (30Aug13), he said, "We have
just 10 days before we turn it in. I'm literally sleeping in the
studio on an air mattress. We're working 24-hour days to make sure
the story is done, front to back. It has to be a new point of
discovery."
