Drake reprimanded over university photo
Drake has found himself in trouble with officials at the University of Kentucky for violating college rules by posing for photos with potential student-athletes.
University bosses have issued a cease-and-desist letter to the rapper for meeting with raw recruits at the Big Blue Madness event in October (14) and thus violating the National Collegiate Athletic Association's recruitment rules.
In a letter from the college's compliance office, the Canadian
star, a big Kentucky basketball fan, had impermissible
communication with three potential student-athletes, who were
visiting the school prior to making a decision about their college
home.
The university officials have urged Drake to "refrain from
conversations with prospects or taking photos with prospects when
that conversation or photo occurs outside the parameters
established by the NCAA."
Kentucky coach John Calipari made sure Drake didn't feel too sore
about the slap on the wrist on Wednesday (22Jul15) when he took to
Twitter.com and wrote, "There are no issues with @Drake and UK
(University of Kentucky), and Drake is and always will be a part of
our Big Blue family. I hope to see him on campus soon."
