Drake lives up to song lyrics by buying neighbour's house
Drake has bought the house next door just as he rapped he would in song Where Ya At.
The 29-year-old Canadian rapper's recent collaboration with fellow hip hop star Future on the track Where Ya At included him rapping, "I'll buy the neighbors' house if they complain about the noise."
Now the Hotline Bling superstar has reportedly splurged an
estimated $2.85 million for the house next door to his Hidden
Hills, California home, according to editors at property website
Trulia.
While it isn't known whether Drake's decision to purchase the
property was actually spurred by a dispute with his neighbour, the
rapper's $7.7 million estate is probably no stranger to the odd
social gathering.
He purchased the 7,444-square-foot California home in 2012, which
has a swimming pool and grotto, basketball court and recording
studio on site.
Drake's new house, which was built in 1955, covers a further
4,445-square-foot area and includes a swimming pool and gourmet
kitchen. The property also includes a guesthouse and poolhouse.
Drake has been a fixture in gossip columns in recent weeks due to
his very close relationship with singer Rihanna. The pair have long
been known to be close and collaborated on her monster hit
Work.
The rumoured couple sparked renewed speculation about the nature of
their relationship after Drake professed his love for the Umbrella
singer at the MTV Video Music Awards last month (Aug16). They were
subsequently seen kissing onstage at a gig in Miami, Florida.
