Drake distances himself from concert documentary
Rapper Drake has warned fans he had no involvement in making a concert documentary which is to be released this week (beg16Mar15).
Drake's Homecoming: The Lost Footage features the recording of a 2009 gig, and includes recent interviews with hip-hop moguls and the film's producers, James Prince and Jas Prince, who claimed have discovered the Started From the Bottom hitmaker.
Drake does not appear in footage outside of the Canada concert and
has not promoted the cinema release, and he has now issued an
official disclaimer to fans, warning that he and his OVO record
label are not involved in it.
A message posted on his Twitter.com account reads, "The Drake
Homecoming film is not something OVO or Drake have any part in. I
feel it is my responsibility to inform and protect my fans."
The documentary is scheduled for a 'one night only' cinema release
on Thursday (19Mar15). It will be released in other selected
countries in March and April (15).
