Drake Bell arrested on suspicion of DUI

Singer/actor Drake Bell is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol following an arrest early on Monday morning (21Dec15).

The former Nickelodeon star was pulled over by police in Glendale, California, after officers noticed the 29 year old allegedly "swerving and speeding after abruptly stopping at a red light," Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot tells The Los Angeles Times.

During the stop, the cop noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his vehicle, and subsequently gave Bell a sobriety test, which he reportedly failed.

No further details of his arrest have been released.

Bell recently announced plans to play a string of concert dates in Mexico beginning in February (16), and the gigs were sold out within minutes of going on sale. It is unclear whether his arrest will affect his tour.
