Dita Von Teese's dog dies

Dita Von Teese is mourning the death of her dog, just hours after she begged fans to help her find the missing pet.

The dancer-turned-actress turned to her Twitter.com page on Monday (09Apr12) and asked followers in the Los Angeles area to join the search for her beloved Dachshund Eva.

She tweeted, "My dog Eva is missing, if anyone in Los Feliz/LA sees her, email [email protected]. Good thoughts for her return are also appreciated."

However, it wasn't long before Von Teese shared sad news about her dog, telling fans, "My beloved Eva passed on tonight. Thank you for all your kind words. It means a lot to me."
