Demi Lovato thrilled revelers at a gay bar in New York City on Thursday night (15Oct15) when she performed a surprise rendition of her new song Confident.

The sexy Latina hit the stage at the Industry Bar after her pal Nick Jonas introduced her to thrilled gay fans, who knew the song so well many sang along.

Ironically, Jonas has played a gay man on TV in new shows Kingdom and Scream Queens.

Meanwhile, Lovato is in New York celebrating a major new deal with Wilhelmina Models. The Skyscraper singer will join Jonas and Orange is the New Black star Ruby Rose on the company's roster of actors and singers-turned-models.

A spokesman for the agency says, "We will aim to continue raising Demi’s already sophisticated profile by securing modeling and endorsement deals in the fashion and beauty arenas, as well as seeking out editorial opportunities."

"I'm thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina," the 23 year old adds, "I’m very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist."
