Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas teaming up for private concert

Friendly exes Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas are teaming up for a special private show in Los Angeles.

The Cool For The Summer star and her former beau, along with his band DNCE, are headlining the You Are Here Live gig on 22 September (16), exclusively for Marriott Reward Members.

The concert comes as Demi begins to wind down her Future Now tour with Joe's brother Nick Jonas, while DNCE is on an unexpected hiatus from touring with Selena Gomez, Demi's former best friend.

Joe and his bandmates had been serving as the opening act on Selena's Revival world tour since May (16), but last month (Aug16), the 24-year-old announced she is taking an indefinite break from her tour in order to focus on getting well while she continues to fight lupus.

Selena had been suffering from anxiety, panic attacks and depression, which are all side effects of the autoimmune disease, which she was diagnosed with in 2014.

When Joe had a brief break from touring with Selena in July (16), he surprised fans in Washington, D.C. by joining Demi for a duet of their Disney Channel movie Camp Rock soundtrack hit This Is Me.

The former co-stars dated briefly in early 2010, months before Demi suffered a very public breakdown while on tour in South America with the Jonas Brothers, but the pair has since become good friends.

Speaking to Billboard magazine earlier this year (16), Joe said that Demi is the "best version of herself I've ever known", after seeking help for her addiction issues in rehab.

"She's healthy and that's obviously something a lot of the world knows now, but she's gotten over (the really hard part)," he expanded. "I know a lot of friends who've gone through similar things and it's when you have to live with your new self for a few years - that comes with a lot of struggle. And being a pop star on top of that, that's a lot of pressure, but she's amazing at speaking truth to what she believes."
