David Guetta battling fever in South America

French DJ David Guetta has fallen ill in the middle of his South American tour.

The hitmaker and producer is due to perform two dates in Brazil beginning on Saturday (07Jan12), before hitting venues in Chile and Argentina later this month (Jan12), but he has been hit by a fever.

In a post on Twitter.com, he writes, "Brazil is the most extraordinary place but I'm so f**king sick. It's hard to perform with fever but I don't want to let anyone down."
