David Beckham's wife gave tips during photoshoot

David Beckham received some expert advice during his recent racy photo session for Elle magazine - his fashionista wife Victoria was on hand to help direct the shoot.

Beckham set pulses racing when he peeled off his top to pose for the July (12) edition of the fashion magazine, becoming the first man ever to grace the publication's cover solo.

And he's revealed he had a secret helping hand during the shoot, when his former pop star wife Victoria tagged along to give him some guidance.

He tells British TV show This Morning, "Yeah, she was giving me tips. She was there on the day. I think she liked the cover!"

And telling of his pride at becoming Elle's first solo male cover star, he adds, "It is a first. I was obviously very honoured by that. I've done some great things outside of playing football in my career, and this was one of the highlights. To be asked to be on the front of one of the biggest women's fashion magazines around, as a first solo male - you know, I was very proud of that."
