Damon Dash suing to retrieve property from previous home
Beleaguered rap mogul Damon Dash is suing his former landlords over allegations he was banned from retrieving his personal items after he was evicted.
Jay Z's ex-business partner was ordered to leave his New York home earlier this year (13) after failing to pay $100,000 in back rent, and now he claims the landlords are withholding his property, including winter clothes, according to the New York Post.
He is suing to get his items back, but the defendants' attorney,
Thomas Mullaney, insists Dash had ample time to take his belongings
and is adamant they acted "lawfully".
The legal action is the latest personal struggle for the former
Roc-A-Fella Records executive - he is also facing a $2.8 million
tax bill for allegedly failing to pay federal taxes on earnings
from 2005 and 2011.
