Craig David: 'I've had an epiphany'

Craig David has sparked fears for his wellbeing after confessing he has "self-defeating voices" inside him and has experienced an epiphany.

The Grammy-nominated British star took to his official Instagram.com page on Wednesday (10Oct12) to tell fans about his moment of revelation and insist he has been given a gift by a "higher power".

He writes, "Just had an epiphany at 7.40pm local time here that I'm not prepared to (lie to) myself anymore about what I know about God, the Universe or any other name given to the Highest Power has planned for me.

"I've been given this gift and blessing of being able to create and be the vehicle to spread music around the world and I Craig David am no longer going to waste a drop of it!

"I'm ready and willing to commit to creating what is expected of me in the presence of the all-seeing power that is and will not quit until this has been achieved, so God bless you all for being part of this journey and let us use this incredible positive energy together to make a real difference! These words I shout from my heart as I no longer tolerate listening to any self defeating voices within my self or the opinions of others that I don't respect nor will give energy to."
