Courteney Cox denies engagement rumors

Courteney Cox has denied reports she is engaged to her rocker boyfriend Johnny Mcdaid.

Earlier this week (ends27Apr14), the former Friends actress sparked rumors she was set to tie the knot with the Snow Patrol star when she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

However, she dismissed the speculation on Thursday (24Apr14) when she was asked about the engagement rumors at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her directorial debut film Just Before I Go, simply stating, "No."

While Cox and McDaid are not planning a wedding just yet, they did collaborate on the film, with the rocker contributing three songs to the soundtrack.

Cox says, "It was great, it actually worked. We really respect each other... and it's been amazing. I've been really lucky because I got three fantastic original songs that were made just for the film and it really elevates the material."

The 49 year old also worked with her ex-husband David Arquette and daughter Coco, and while she praised Arquette's performance, she admits her little girl was not as easy.

She explains, "She's not as collaborative as you think, she's a little hard-headed, doesn't take direction. She thinks she knows what to do and I had to say, 'Alright,' but she was right.

"(But David) is great, he's fantastic. He's such a great actor, but it's great to direct someone you know so well because you get to change things... We all have our go-to stuff and if I know that, I can steer him in a different direction."
