Conrad Hilton involved in weekend car smash

Paris Hilton's youngest brother Conrad has escaped serious injury after he was involved in a major car crash in Palm Springs, California on Saturday (23Aug14).

California Highway Patrol officers reveal socialite Conrad Hilton clipped the back of another vehicle while attempting to change lanes, and then slammed into the back of a tractor trailer before coming to a halt on the side of the road.

Authorities at the scene had to pry 20-year-old Hilton free from his luxury car, but he managed to walk away with just a fractured hand and other minor cuts and bruises, according to TMZ.com.

Officials do not believe drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash, but cops had received a call from another motorist accusing Hilton of speeding and reckless driving moments before the accident.

Conrad Hughes Hilton III is no stranger to car crashes - he was also involved in a speed-related smash while driving around a residential neighbourhood in Brentwood, California in 2011.
