Ciara's wedding dress was too big for tiny chapel
R&B star Ciara's wedding dress was too big for the tiny chapel where she exchanged vows last month (Jul16).
The Goodies singer, who wed sportsman Russell Wilson at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England on 6 July (16), looked stunning in her custom Peter Dundas gown, but wedding planner Mindy Weiss has revealed no one considered what the huge outfit would look like in a tiny church setting.
Weiss tells bridal website The Knot the Disney-princess gown came
with a 13-foot train that took over the chapel.
"Her dress in person was so much more spectacular than in the
pictures," the wedding planner says. "In person, it was shockingly
beautiful.
"But inside the castle, they had a chapel but it was too small
because her dress was 13 foot."
It was a small hiccup at the end of the planning stages, which the
revered planner navigated with ease, revealing she had to scrap
ideas surrounding destination weddings in North Carolina and Paris,
France.
"I did the whole thing - three times," Weiss revealed, "They were
first getting married in North Carolina, but they called it off due
to the transgender bathroom laws (in the state)."
They also called off plans for a romantic ceremony in Paris when
the bride realised the date would clash with the city's Couture
Fashion Week.
