Ciara: 'I'm the happiest I have ever been'
Ciara is the happiest she has ever been following her English countryside wedding to beau Russell Wilson.
The 30-year-old singer wed her football star fiance on 6 July (16) at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England, and the pair is still as loved up as ever.
"Everything is sweet. This is the happiest I have ever been," she
told People.com on Saturday (20Aug16). "Our wedding was like a
fairytale."
The Goodies hitmaker wowed guests as she wore a custom Cavalli
Couture gown featuring a corset, silk tulle and class beading for
the ceremony, while Ciara's two-year-old son Future - who she
shares with her ex-partner Future - wore Armani Jr.
On their unusual choice to get married in the U.K., Ciara said she
knew as soon as she saw her venue that it was the right place to
walk down the aisle.
"We loved the countryside," she shared. "We looked at a venue in
the U.S., but we also looked abroad, and England just seemed
magical and perfect. We have good friends around us so everyone
kept the secret."
The singer, who was performing on Saturday at the Apollo in the
Hamptons 2016 Night of Legends fete in New York, also boasted
proudly about her 27-year-old Seattle Seahawks quarterback spouse,
who is "doing great" and training for the upcoming football
season.
"He’s getting ready for the season. He’s strong," she added.
This is Ciara's first marriage, although the singer was previously
engaged to rapper Future, the father of her son Future Zahir. The
former couple split in August, 2014, just three months after
becoming parents.
Russell was married to Ashton Meem from 2012 to 2014.
