Chrissy Teigen having IVF jabs during SI shoot

Chrissy Teigen was undergoing IVF treatment when she posed for the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

The 30-year-old model and her husband John Legend are expecting their first child together, with Chrissy open about the difficulties they had with conceiving. She can currently be seen in her seventh spread for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, with the shoot very different to normal because so much was going on in her personal life.

"I was doing IVF during the shoot,” she told People magazine. “I was getting my shots and everything in Zanzibar, I had a little medical kit. It was hard because you bloat from it, and you bruise – if I hit the wrong area. That’s the kind of things we had to cover with make-up."

Chrissy and John's daughter is due in April (16) and the star is fiercely proud of her pregnancy body. Had she been expecting at the time of the Sports Illustrated shoot she wouldn't have thought twice about baring her baby bump - although such shots aren't likely to litter her home.

"John and I aren’t the kind of people to have photo of ourselves in our house, like embracing the pregnant and naked thing," she laughed. "But if it were for a cool magazine and beautifully done, I would do that…(SI Swim), I would have definitely done pregnant!”

The star also spoke out in support of the publication's three cover stars. UFC star Ronda Rousey, plus-size model Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson share the front page, with the magazine praised for offering images of women with different body types. That's something Chrissy has given her backing, with the model especially liking that the honour has gone to three people.

The star has posted several images from her spread on Instagram, including one in which she's seen almost naked and standing in a lagoon. She later adding a second picture of her in an oversized straw hat and black bikini bottoms, and she had some strong words for those who'd commented on the initial photo.

"The @si_swimsuit edition is on stands tooooo-day (sic)! (Shoutout to everyone dissecting every little part of my bod in the last comment thread, you're all really wonderful, kind, flawless beauties - I can tell from your pages!!" she joked.
