Chris Hemsworth flexes his comedy muscles on Saturday Night Live

Hollywood action man Chris Hemsworth proved his comedy chops this weekend (07-08Mar15) as he thrilled viewers during his guest-hosting stint on sketch show Saturday Night Live.

The Australian actor kicked off the show by bringing out his real-life siblings Liam and Luke during his opening monologue for a skit with black actor Kenan Thompson, who was introduced as the "fourth Hemsworth brother", with funnywoman Kate McKinnon as their mother.

Hemsworth went on to star as a spaceship crewmember in love with the captain of the aircraft - a real, live chicken, while he mocked the Disney Channel by 'starring' in a corny show called Brother 2 Brother, with SNL regular Taran Killam as his onscreen sibling.

He also joined McKinnon as she impersonated Iggy Azalea on a parody talk show, titled The Iggy Azalea Show, on which she joked about the Fancy hitmaker's online feud with Azealia Banks, played by Sasheer Zamata. Hemsworth portrayed Azalea's rapper cousin as they discussed their top tips for spitting rhymes, while he later showed off his 'twerking' dance skills.

Hemsworth also proved he had no trouble poking fun at himself by spoofing his blockbuster franchise The Avengers.

The Avengers News Report sketch featured the superheroes winning a big battle and then partying on national TV.

Screaming in joy, Hemsworth, dressed as his Norse god character Thor, tells comedian Bobby Moynihan's reporter, "I'm cranked up!", as he performs the Running Man dance and celebrates with Killam as Iron Man and SNL castmember Pete Davidson as The Hulk.
