Chris Brown's 'rant' at Kehlani post suicide attempt
Chris Brown launched a Twitter rant apparently aimed at R&B singer Kehlani Parrish following her suicide attempt.
The Did I star, 20, hit rock bottom after she was attacked on social media following reports suggesting she had cheated on basketball player Kyrie Irving with her ex.
She took to Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday (29Mar16) and
shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, with an intravenous
tube in her arm.
"today I wanted to leave this earth," she captioned the now-deleted
image. "Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I'd get to
such a low point. But.. Don't believe the blogs you read .. No one
was cheated on and I'm not a bad person... Everyone is hurt and
everyone is in a place of misunderstanding...
"But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow... But God
saved me for a reason, and for that... I must be grateful... Cuz
(sic) I'm not in heaven right now for a reason..."
Following her emotional revelation, several stars including Nick
Cannon came out in support of Kehlani, praising her for her bravery
in coming forward and revealing her battle.
However, Chris appeared to have taken offense to Kehlani's
admission, writing a string of posts on his Twitter page on Tuesday
night that appeared to reference the singer's suicide attempt.
"There is no attempting suicide," he wrote. "Stop flexing for the
gram. Doing s**t for sympathy so them comments under your pics
don't look so bad (sic)."
After admitting her attempt to take her own life, Kehlani then
tried to clear up the unfounded claims about her love life,
revealing she and Cleveland Cavaliers ace Kyrie, who she became
linked to late last year (15), recently parted ways, and she has
since reunited with former lover PartyNextDoor.
Kehlani went on to praise the Drake affiliate, real name Jahron
Anthony Brathwaite, for remaining by her side in hospital after
reportedly saving her life.
Chris had kicked things off by apparently deciding to offer his own
relationship advice, writing: "Girls be mad at a n***a for f**king
around wit b***hes but her DMs got more names then the Declaration
of Independence. #YEAHIMTHROWINGSHADE (sic)."
While he never referred to Kehlani by name, he did write:
"#KYRIEMVP", a clear reference to Irving alongside the acronym
meaning Most Valuable Player.
He concluded: "OK IM DONE. Guess she gone have to watch the games
from a real 'box' now. 'THE TELEVISION' #OHB 'OUTTA HERE BIH' (out
of here b***h) (sic)."
Chris' Twitter rant drew criticism from many people on Twitter with
one writing: "I can’t believe I use to look up to you."
Another added: "Relationship advice from Chris Brown .. 2016 is
wild."
