Chris Brown's art sells for more than $60,000

Paintings by troubled singer Chris Brown have sold for more than $60,000 at auction.

The Kiss Kiss star created a number of works with street artist KAI during a recent art event in Miami, Florida, and the pieces were submitted for sale as part of Fine Art Auctions Miami's Urban Art Week.

It has now emerged that two of Brown's canvases sold for $25,000 each, and another made almost $12,000 , according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The publication reports that 50 per cent of the profits will be donated to charity.
