Chris Brown postpones tour due to latest legal troubles
Chris Brown has postponed his upcoming tour after his probation was revoked by a judge earlier this month (Jan15).
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker was slated to kick off his Between The Sheets shows with Trey Songz on Wednesday (28Jan15), but Brown has now announced that fans will have to wait a little longer to see him in concert.
The embattled R&B star took to Instagram.com to write, "I would
first like to apologise to all the fans and people who have been
supporters of me and all the music over the years. The beginning of
the BTS tour has been moved to later dates now.
"The judge would not sign off on my travel to do the tour until I
finish these last 100 hours of community service. I promise that I
am busting my a** doing it everyday until it's complete... This is
the most disappointing news I've gotten in a while... Out of 1000
hours I only have 100 left. I will work my a** off to complete it
and I will be on that stage.
"Once again I'm sorry for the delay. I love y'all! We will let
y'all know the dates that are changed. It's not cancelled."
The singer's probation stemming from his 2009 assault on
then-girlfriend Rihanna was revoked after it was determined that he
recently broke court orders by leaving Los Angeles County to play a
gig in San Jose, California.
Officials also cited Brown's failure to complete his court-ordered
community service before the recommended deadline for the
decision.
Brown, who spent time in jail last year (14), could end up back
behind bars if he is found to have wilfully violated the terms of
his probation.
The Behind The Sheets tour was initially scheduled to kick off in
his home state of Virginia, with the tour continuing through until
March (15).
